Aspens
A few short weeks of gold, from the San Juan Mountains of Colorado to California's Eastern Sierra.
A Few Short Weeks
For a few short weeks each fall, the aspens turn. Whole hillsides go gold and orange, white trunks catch the light, and still lakes hold the color twice. An aspen grove is often a single tree in disguise: one root system sending up hundreds of white trunks, which is why a whole stand turns gold on the same day while the one beside it is still green. Along the Million Dollar Highway in Colorado's San Juan Mountains, over Red Mountain Pass, Aaron found six new works — joining his aspens from California's Eastern Sierra.
The Grove
No sky, no horizon — only white trunks rising into gold.
Heart of Gold
A whole grove at peak color, an orange flare at its edge and green undergrowth below. From across a room it reads as one field of gold.
LIMITED EDITION OF 95 · FROM $1,795
Golden Grove
White trunks in a quiet canyon, boulders and fallen leaves leading the eye to a dark, still lake.
LIMITED EDITION OF 95 · FROM $1,795
The Lone Spruce
Two verticals from the San Juan Mountains, each built around a single spruce that keeps its green while the grove turns gold around it. They hang naturally as a pair.
Evergreen
A young spruce holds its deep green among aspens at peak color, the frame rising from the forest floor to the canopy.
LIMITED EDITION OF 95 · FROM $995
Embrace
A single spruce, the aspens around it turned orange and gold, wrapping it from every side.
LIMITED EDITION OF 95 · FROM $995
The High Country
Step back and the aspens become part of the mountain: patchwork hillsides, iron-red peaks, early snow above the gold.
Red Mountain Gold
A dirt road runs past a meadow of gold aspens, dark spruce and rust-colored willow toward the iron-red peak. Storm light flattens the shadows, so every yellow holds at full strength.
LIMITED EDITION OF 95 · FROM $1,795
Embers
A hillside turning all at once, lime green to deep gold, with a few trees burning orange and red.
PANORAMIC · LIMITED EDITION OF 95 · FROM $1,795
Sierra High Country
Snow on the peaks, storm clouds overhead, and aspen groves lit by late light.
PANORAMIC · LIMITED EDITION OF 95 · FROM $1,795
Autumn Mosaic
Golden aspens and crimson foliage weave through dark pines against weathered granite.
PANORAMIC · LIMITED EDITION OF 500 · FROM $1,795
Why Aspens?
Gold carries warmth into a room long after the leaves have fallen — in a mountain home through ski season, or a house by the sea that wants a change of light. Paired with stone, wood and wool, the aspens hold their color all year.
Each piece is a limited edition, printed on metal or acrylic finish.
