Since opening its flagship location on July 10, 2010 at 415 South Cedros Avenue in Solana Beach’s Design District, Aaron Chang Ocean Art Gallery has become a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike. Founded by internationally acclaimed photographer Aaron Chang, the gallery showcases his large-format surf and ocean photography alongside striking surfboard sculptures — all available in custom sizes to suit any commercial or residential space.

“I love Solana Beach,” says Chang. “We opened at a very challenging economic time and relied on our community to get us started. The love and support we’ve received from North County residents over the years has been incredible.”

For 15 years, it has been voted “Best Gallery” or “Best Artist” by local San Diegans, named “Best Gallery” by San Diego Magazine for two years, and selected as “Ambassador of the Arts” by the San Diego Tourism Board since 2014. Aaron also serves as Artist in Residence at the Alila Marea Beach Resort in Encinitas, where his large-scale installations and Artist’s Wall are prominently featured.

Aaron Chang Ocean Art Gallery brings the breathtaking beauty of Carmel-by-the-Sea to life on iconic Ocean Avenue. In this legendary artist colony with its dramatic coastline and timeless charm, the gallery showcases Aaron Chang’s large-format fine art photography — featuring Carmel’s iconic scenes such as Point Lobos, Bixby Creek Bridge, and Carmel Beach, alongside his best-selling surf and ocean images. Striking surfboard sculptures complete the collection, with all works available in custom sizes.
