Sometimes when I’m feeling blue, all I need to do is take a few minutes and remember one of my favorite places to find peace – the tropical shallows around the ocean reefs.
A place where the blues meld together and my thoughts are replaced by a crackling silence of strange underwater sounds.
This water I’ve seen, felt and listened to all of my life – diving under waves on my way to the surf, enjoying the warmth of the tropical waters and feeling the awe of being instantly transported to another world.
On this day, I was on a boat with my family and friends. We stopped to get out of the heat. Jumping off the side, this was what I saw…
I’ll never forget the peacefulness of this moment.
It’s my hope that this photo brings you a feeling of tranquility that this moment gave me.

ABOUT ARTIST PROOFS:
Artist Proofs (AP) represent the most exclusive edition of the piece and carry a significant premium in price, which also increases incrementally as the 5 AP editions sell through, reflecting increasing scarcity. Aaron Chang is different from the vast majority of contemporary photographers, wherein many of his AP's are true artists proofs and have minor color and tonal variances from the Standard Edition; not all Artist Proofs in the AP edition will be physically different from the Standard Edition, with exception to the exclusivity of the actual edition number.
In some cases, Aaron has collaborated with clients by customizing the AP with multi-media components, further differentiating the AP Edition from the Standard Editions.

ABOUT COLLECTOR'S EDITIONS: Reserved Limited Editions
When an edition is launched, the first edition sold is typically as Edition #11. The edition sells through sequentially until the last few numbers of the edition.
Editions #1-10 are reserved as the Special Collector’s Editions for our Premium Collectors, who are eager to acquire a low or exclusive edition number. Custom sizes are also available through the galleries. These editions are sold at a premium price.

Equinox Editions 90-95 are the last five editions of the work. Like Artist Proofs and Collector's Editions, these final editions are priced by the edition, not by the size. Each edition will be signed by Aaron and numbered.

ABOUT 3RD TIER:
Equinox is currently in our third tier pricing structure. The first tier of editions were the launch price, which sold out in record time. The second tier is the second third of editions that were left and quickly sold through. Third tier is the final third of editions that remain. Third tier editions will be assigned an edition number in the order in which they are sold. Aaron will sign each edition of every Fine Art piece.

How Limited Editions Work
Equinox is one of Aaron’s best selling images in the history of his gallery. Aaron decided to create a small edition of 95 for this masterwork, making it highly collectible. Like all of Aaron’s Fine Art, as the editions sell through, the price goes up. Equinox is now considered an “Exclusive Edition” because it is nearing the end of the 95 signed, limited editions and 5 Artist Proofs.
Limited editions generally come in different quantities: 500, 250, 95, 25, 15 or 10 plus Artist Proof(s) within each edition.
Editions numbers 1-10 are Collector’s Editions (CE's) and are reserved for those collectors looking to acquire a particular number early in the edition. Similarly, Editions 90-95 are the last five editions of the work and are highly collectible.
Artist Proofs (AP's) represent the most exclusive edition of the piece and carry a significant premium in price, which also increases incrementally as the 5 AP editions sell through, reflecting increasing scarcity.
While we don’t sell our art as an investment, the fact that these Masterworks are such small edition runs to begin with should give collectors peace of mind that they are getting something truly rare and valuable at any point they purchase the work.

WHO IS AARON CHANG?
Aaron Chang is an American-born artist, known for his exceptional ocean photography and stunning visual art. An internationally acclaimed artist, Chang has collectors all over the world and his work has been published in hundreds of books and magazines. Respected as a creative force who helped visually define the sport of surfing, Aaron spent 25 years as a senior photographer at Surfing magazine, traveling to the far reaches of the globe. During this time, Chang set new standards for modern ocean photography.
Interwoven throughout Aaron’s career, have been years of commercial photography work, partnering with top art directors and design agencies all over the world. The campaigns were multi-tiered, spanning from branding to marketing to advertising. This experience has facilitated Aaron’s ability to produce and direct on many levels from the creation of his iconic photography to directing teams to execute his vision to producing his art on an array of mediums.
Today, as a fine art photographer and in-demand commissionable artist, Aaron owns two thriving art galleries that feature his work, while creating custom collections for clients worldwide. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How long does it take to receive my piece?
Since we custom make the art to your exact specifications, please allow 3-4 weeks for Fine Art orders and 3-4 months for surfboards for production and delivery time.

2. How is shipping calculated?
Shipping is calculated by adding the cost of the custom wood shipping crate and the transportation fees which are based on the weight and size of your art.

3. What company do you use for shipping?
FedEx domestically and DHL internationally.

4. What is a facemounted photograph?
A facemounted photograph is a photographic print laminated with the face of the print (top) facing the back of a sheet of acrylic.

5. What is an edition size?
Due to our ability to customize Aaron’s photographs to our client’s space, our standard sizes, plus any custom sized photos, murals or surfboards, are assigned an edition number for their art. This edition number will go towards the total number of editions created. The Clients will receive their signed limited-edition art with Aaron’s signature and their edition number written on the photo along with the total number of editions printed. For example: 20/95. The signed edition number (20) indicates the edition number allocated next to the total edition run (95), which will be next to Aaron’s signature. The client will receive a Certificate of Authenticity, recording Aaron’s signature and verifying the authenticity of the art and proof of the edition ownership.
