One of the most amazing things about living on the coast in San Diego is the beach lifestyle that can be reached in minutes, changing your day instantly. In moments you go from real life to the lull of the ocean, feeling the sand on your bare feet as the cool water washes over them, watching people relax and enjoy life the way it was really meant to be.
One night last week, Aaron and I went to the beach to watch the sunset. Along the trail to the surf break called Pipes, people had set up beach chairs to take in the evening. Grandparents, parents and children, young people laughing — together, making memories in seemingly insignificant moments that turn out to be the parts of life that actually matter. These are the feelings that stitch themselves into memory, the moments of happiness that make life worth living.
This summer evening felt almost tropical — more humid than most, but warm enough for the surfers and swimmers to stay in trunks and bikinis well past sunset. A moment in life well spent.
That evening at Swami's, as the day slipped into gold.
Introducing Aaron's new limited edition of 95, Summer at Swami's. May it bring the serenity and peace of a summer sunset into your home.
