Ever since I laid eyes on the pristine, turquoise waters in the Canadian Rockies, I was in love!
The clean mountain air, the abundance of trees, the purity of the water — and that turquoise! I had to see it first hand to believe the color was real.
(It is all-natural! It comes from the rich minerals in the glacier water coming down from the mountains.)
There is so much wildlife there, they built bridges over the trans-Canada highway around Banff SOLELY for the animals! The bears and elk cross over the bridges and the rabbits and other small creatures go through the tunnels built under the highway. No humans allowed!
It’s a magical place for sure. I walked into a patch of good weather on a morning when the sun lit up the mountains. It was a truly Glorious and awe-inspiring moment that I will never forget.
Ten minutes later, it was pouring rain! (The next day, it was hailing golf ball-sized ice.) This place has WEATHER that is as wild as the wind itself.
My other photo of the same lake was taken the next day. The light created an entirely different scene, which I find to be more serene and calming.
To have been able to capture the Majesty and Glory of both of these moments was truly an honor.
I hope you enjoy my new releases as much as I did capturing them. Introducing Majesty and Glory.
As always, I’d love to know your thoughts.
