Many years ago, I was one of the photo journalists in a book Series called, A Day in the Life.
This book series chose the top 50 photographers from around the world and sent them on an assignment to capture what one day in the life of someone in America, The Soviet Union, Canada, Spain, Japan and many other countries looked like…
I loved these projects! They taught me so much about how people lived and I was fortunate enough to meet some of the top photographers of the time.
Today I am sharing a video that is a glimpse into a day in the life of a photographer and gallery owner…
I captured the photo below in Carlsbad and created a custom sized surfboard sculpture for one of our clients in Mission Beach.
Below are photos of that installation as well as a video of me talking about the commission.
The surfboard is 9 foot tall, big wave gun over a 60″ x 90″ back print. For this project, the client needed something large and stunning to make a statement in his space.
I think the ability to customize the piece is something very unique to what we do… It is very satisfying to see the art come to life and the client’s reaction to the work in their space.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate on fun projects like these!
Stop by the galleries for more information on custom commissions and to check out my work in person.
