Recently I was commissioned by Sharp Rees-Stealy Santee Medical Center to create a body of work that captures the provincial beauty of Santee and the surrounding area.
This new facility was built from the ground up. I am honored to be a part of the healing program Sharp has created by showcasing the natural beauty surrounding the facility.
We installed 196 pieces that captured the outdoor lifestyle of the community.
When I immersed myself in the town, I found people who loved rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, hang gliding, community sports, horse back riding… the art reflects this passion for the outdoors.
The wildlife, native plants and mountain vistas had subtle, hidden beauty that I found delightful.
I am proud to present this body of work and hope it brings inspiration to patients, physicians and staff at the Medical Center for many years to come.
